I began making bears in 2007, and sold my first one in 2008.
My journey started when I decided I would like to make my children a bear each one Christmas, from a kit I purchased. After that I was hooked!
I am self taught, and bought many books and materials to get me started, and decided to make my own patterns for my bears, in the never ending search for the 'perfect' bear.
My bears are all one of a kind, and are made from good quality materials. I make with traditional materials such as mohair and wool felt, traditional cotter pin joints and glass eyes.
I like to dress my bears, and will either make clothes and accessories, but also like to find vintage items suck as dolls clothes and jewellery to add to them!
In more recent years I have also made 'friends' for the bears, in the form of bunnies, elephants, mice, foxes and pigs.
I also sell patterns (my own designs) if you would like to begin your own bear making journey! Take a look in my shop or on ebay, etsy and Bearpile for available patterns and bears.
I am married with two children, and have a host of pets including a daft Labrador, who we enjoy long walks in the countryside with.
I have many hobbies, including gardening, Yoga and other art and crafts.
